Jan Steyer – Second Conductor

IMG_3506 Jan Steyer (born 1982 in Liberec) studied organ play and conducting at Prague Conservatory and after his graduation continued his studies on this field at Musical Faculty of Academy of Performing Arts in Prague, where he graduated in 2010. Beside his studies he participated at many courses conducted by prominent personalities of world music and focused on interpretation of both early and contemporary music. During his conservatory studies he started his conductor´s career as artistic director of vocal-instrumental ensemble Collegium Carmina Antiqua, engaged in interpretation of early music and worked as choirmaster of Prague Girls´ Chorus. Beside his choirmaster´s work with the Prague Mixed Choir he is also engaged as conductor of Symphonic orchestra of Jindřichův Hradec and artistic director of ČVUT Mixed Choir.
